Holiday Lights Around Spokane

Gaiser Conservatory

During the day, the botanical garden is home to plants from sub-tropical and temperate climate zones. But, during the holiday season, the conservatory comes alive at night when more than 30,000 festive lights illuminate the night sky and fill the greenhouse with holiday cheer.

This year, the Gaiser Conservatory is going all drive-thru! The Friends of Manito have put together the ‘Enchanted Garden Drive-Thru’, which will take you all around Manito Park’s gardens, decked out in holiday lights.

Holiday lights hours:

Friday, December 11 – Sunday, December 20, 2020

4:30 – 9:30 PM Fridays & Saturdays

4:30 – 8:30 PM Sundays – Thursdays

Take a look at the video below for what you can expect to enjoy, plus a map of where to drive to get started!

Liberty Lake Winter Glow Spectacular

Since 2014, Liberty Lake has hosted the Winter Glow Spectacular, and that doesn’t stop in 2020! Hosted by Liberty Lake, the show will feature colorful lights resembling Christmas trees, snowmen and other holiday-themed displays. The light display runs nightly through Jan. 1.

This year’s Winter Glow Spectacular is all drive thru, and completely free. Take a look at the video below for what you can expect to enjoy!

Crescent Window Display

While not a Christmas light exhibit, the window displays at the downtown Davenport Hotel revive an old Spokane tradition of celebrating Christmas with seasonal window displays. With pieces discovered from the old Crescent building, the Downtown Spokane Partnership created a new retro holiday tradition showcasing the classic holiday characters just like they were back in the day.

According to Downtown Spokane, five window bays on the south side of The Grand hotel will display scenes featuring refurbished figurines rescued from the basement of the former Crescent Department Store.

Each of the five windows are designed and installed by local artists Stephanie Bogue, Melanie Lieb, Derrick Freeland and Jazmin Ely under the creative direction of Tiffany Patterson.

You can see the displays from November 28 to January 3.

Friday and Saturday: Noon-10:00pm

Sunday: Noon-8:00pm

Monday through Thursday: 3:00-8:00pm

This video below explains how the Crescent Display came to be:

As of 2020, the Downtown Spokane Partnership now owns the original Santa Claus that used to guard the awning over the original department store.
