1) 1898 Public House
Situated at the Kalispell Golf and Country Club, the 1898 Public House combines a classy setting with inventive American fare. 1898 is actually the number one place we always go to when we celebrate our wedding anniversary, it’s just that good! (Don’t worry – we celebrate a few times and consider it ‘anniversary month). 1898 is a wonderful place to grab a seat, get a view, sip on some clever libations and chill out with your loved one.

Located at Spokane Falls, Anthony’s is a regional chain restaurant that offers dishes featuring local seafood. Anthony’s has several locations in the Pacific Northwest region, and the popular chain is known for its dedication to serving local, in-season seafood.
Anthony’s is great for an early afternoon or evening date, particularly if you can get a seat with a view! It has clever and tasty food, is easy to get to, and offers plenty around you to chat about if you run out of things to say!

3) Wiley’s Bistro
Located in downtown Spokane, Wiley’s is truly a delight. Not only have they been open throughout the pandemic, Chef Michael Wiley and his team have been fantastic in communicating the latest menus, deals and more. Plus, did we mention Wiley’s food is incredible?
All right, so that might be a picture of some of the delicious cocktails Wiley’s makes, but trust me: the food is delicious, too!

As an upscale restaurant with scenic skyline views, Clinkerdagger offers a romantic night with good food and a nice atmosphere. The menu features a variety of steak and pasta dinners and other classic American fare.
We’ve also visited Clinkerdagger for birthday celebrations and, while it can be very tough to get a coveted view seat, the service is attentive and the food is very good. It can be pricey, so maybe only take someone you really love!
621 W Mallon St.
Spokane, WA 99201
5) Gander & Ryegrass
Talk about another restaurant that has stepped up their game throughout COVID! Gander & Ryegrass consistently breaks the mold when it comes to food, with clever takes on traditional dishes.
Placing an order with Gander & Ryegrass is also extremely easy, a plus when we’re all ordering to go. Make it a romantic night with some classics, or try a fun and new ‘Turducken-wich’ – we told you they were mold breakers!
6) Durkin’s Liquor Bar
If I were going out on first dates again, I would absolutely visit Durkin’s Liquor Bar. Durkin’s is becoming one of my favorite places to go out with friends, and I know more than one person who’s gone here for new dates, too! Durkin’s is swanky, cool, located downtown, and so unique.
Also, did you know there’s a downstairs bar? If your date doesn’t know about it yet, show off your cool cred by heading downstairs for even more (and different!) cocktails. The Durkin’s menu isn’t necessarily the most vegetarian-friendly menu, which is why I personally recommend it for catch up or shorter dates, but it’s still a good menu (and really, just go for the drinks alone!).
7) Gilded Unicorn
The Gilded Unicorn is a unique, quirky and very cool place for a romantic dinner date. To the rustic and charming setting to the incredible drinks, the Gilded Unicorn is the perfect date idea if you love a unique atmosphere and cool drinks.
8) Italia Trattoria
Italia Trattoria is a bright and airy Italian restaurant voted as one of the most romantic restaurants in Spokane. Italia Trattoria is best known for its classy Italian dishes and crafty cocktails.
It’s the best place to take someone you’re trying to impress – Italia Trattoria is well-renowned for it’s amazing, award-winning Italian food, so you won’t go wrong with this one! Just make sure your date isn’t allergic to garlic or onions!
