Exciting news for spice-lovers and Spiceology fans! Spokane’s locally-based spice company Spiceology has announced new partnerships with MOD Pizza and New Belgium Brewing!

That’s right – pizza, beer, and Spiceology. Absolutely nothing better, or more Spokane, than that, right?

Spiceology’s partnership with MOD Pizza

Spiceology + MOD Pizza Partnership

First up is Spiceology’s partnership with MOD Pizza! Spiceology has announced a limited time summer partnership with MOD Pizza for the Iggy Pizza. The Iggy Pizza will be available at all MOD locations through September 5, 2021.

What’s in the Iggy pizza? It’s inspired by the taco stands on the streets of Mexico City and features pork sausage seasoned with, you guessed it, the El Taco Salt-Free blend from Spiceology! This rich blend has hints of cumin, chili powder, oregano, garlic and red bell pepper – minus the salt.

The Iggy was actually created in collaboration with MOD Pizza and Spiceology.

According to MOD Pizza, this is what you can expect to get from this drool-worthy sounding pizza:

The Iggy features the spicy El Taco sausage, complemented with whole milk mozzarella, sharp cheddar cheese, fresh cilantro, sliced fresh tomato, slices of pickled jalapeno, and finished with a refreshing kick of Ranchero sauce made with tomato, fiery peppers, and cool ranch.

Spiceology + New Belgium Brewing

Not content with just one partnership, Spiceology has recently announced another new partnership with craft beer company New Belgium Brewing. The partnership will release six new beer-infused blends, including:

  • Citrus Ginger
  • Habanero Grapefruit
  • Hot Honey
  • Moroccan Tagine
  • Summer BBQ
  • Sweet & Sour

The announcement of this line follows Spiceology’s 2020 launch of fan-favorite beer-infused blends made in collaboration with Derek Wolf.

Spiceology + Spokane

Spiceology was founded in 2013 by award-winning executive chef Pete Taylor and food blogger Heather Scholten (Farmgirl Gourmet). Spiceology first began by selling at local farmer’s markets, but within a few years, William Sonoma noticed them and the rest, as they say, is history!

Now, you can find Spiceology in retail stores (including our local My Fresh Basket!), homes and grills across the globe. Not to mention, Spiceology is also favored by great chefs, including local standouts like Chef Chad White (Zona Blanca, High Tide Lobster).

In addition to providing us delicious blends, Spiceology is also dedicated to responsible business practices, with diversity and inclusion at the heart of their workforce. According to Yahoo News:

63% of the executive leadership team at Spiceology is made up of women, and benefits are offered equitably across the company, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. As a chef-owned and operated company, Spiceology is committed to supporting fellow LGBTQ+ community members all year long through its ‘Love is Love’ product, which donates 10% of sales to a different LGBTQ+ organization every month.

We’re excited to see what partnerships Spiceology announces next! You can pick up the Iggy pizza at local MOD Pizzas around Spokane and Spokane Valley, and the New Belgium blend at stores where Spiceology is sold or online at Spiceology.com.
