Painted on the side of the darling, historic brick building is a simple message, “Love and Butter.” This is what will greet you on your walk to Made With Love Bakery, the cutest little neighborhood bakery you haven’t discovered yet, tucked away in West Central, and sure to make you feel at home the moment you step in its doors.
The bakery is owned by Callie Johnson, whose love language is baking delicious, scratch-made treats. She’s had this passion since she was little, and she’s got a picture of little Callie baking up a storm to prove it.
Made With Love Bakery is located at 2023 W Dean Ave in Spokane. MWL Bakery’s hours are: Wednesday – Sunday 7:30 am-3:00 pm.

The Beginning of the Bakery
Growing up, she was constantly baking with her mom; she declared her intention to open her own bakery when she was in sixth grade.
“I’m a planner, so I was just trying to map out my life, little sixth-grade me,” Callie says, laughing.
Everything went according to plan. In 2015, she graduated from Gonzaga with a degree in business. She formed an LLC for her business, and in summer of 2016, she was selling her goods at farmers markets. In 2019, she opened the bakery’s brick-and-mortar (literally) location, at 2023 W. Dean Ave.
What Can You Expect at Made With Love Bakery?
Callie says it’s important to her that the entire community be able frequent her store. That’s why she has menu items such as $1 drip coffee.
Made With Love Bakery’s menu constantly changes, so make sure to follow them on Instagram (@made.with.love.bakery) to see their “flavors of the day”! but you can almost always find a variety of scones, pop tarts, cookies, pies (by the slice!), and much more.
If you have dietary restrictions, Callie is sure to have something delicious just for you. In fact, her muffins are gluten-free and vegan, and she often has chocolate chip cookies that are, as well. Message her on social media to see if she’s got them in stock.
