Winter Tea Tasting & Bazaar

Thrive International and Manzanita House invite the Spokane community to join an enchanting Winter Tea Tasting & Bazaar on December 9 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center. This event celebrates immigrant-owned small businesses and entrepreneurs and provides a multicultural space filled with diverse cultures and food. 

The Winter Tea Tasting & Bazaar aims to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where refugees, immigrants, and local community members can come together to celebrate diversity and the importance of supporting immigrant-owned businesses. Spokane has seen more refugees move to the city in the last 2 years than in a generation. With the number of refugees joining the community, this event will serve as a platform for building connections, exchanging cultures, and welcoming newcomers. 

Thrive International and Manzanita House have invited local immigrant led vendors to sell their handicrafts and goods as well as providing free henna, crafts, teas and goodies from Feast World Kitchen and Boots Bakery. 

Manzanita House’s Executive Director Patricia Castaneda said, “We are excited to showcase immigrant handmade goods, small businesses, and culture for the local community to enjoy and share with us.” 

“The Winter Tea Tasting & Bazaar is an opportunity for the community to directly support local immigrant owned small businesses and entrepreneurs. This event brings together traditional desserts & teas, free crafts, multicultural music and performances, alongside vendors, for one incredibly fun experience that we are excited to share with everyone,” said Brielle Balazs, Development Director of Manzanita House.
