Event Details

We’re making our own zines and button pins, while asking ourselves, “What do we care about and want to see change?”

What is Art Activism? This is what we will be asking ourselves through this art program for teens. We will take a look at art activism throughout the ages and then attendees will decide what they want to give a voice to and create zines and button pins to promote a change they want to see occur. Library will provide materials for zine and button pin making with papers, pens, markers, pencils and erasers, and a button pin press with button pin materials. Participants will learn how to scan and digitize their zine which can then be printed for distribution of their choosing.

By attending library programs, you are agreeing to potentially appear in photos/videos taken at our locations that may be used in promotional materials including social media.

We strive to make events welcoming for people of all abilities. To request accommodations, call the library at 509-444-5308.
