What is there to do in Spokane on the 4th of July?

Spokane Fireworks

There’s a lot to do in Spokane on the 4th of July, with one of the biggest being fireworks! There will be three fireworks displays across the Spokane region this Fourth of July:

  • Idaho Central Credit Union 4th of July Celebration 2022 at Riverfront Park (free, downtown Spokane)
  • Liberty Lake Summer Festival: 4th of July Fireworks (free, Liberty Lake)
  • 4th of July Fireworks at Avista Stadium (price of Spokane Indians single day ticket)

For the Riverfront Park 4th of July celebration, you can celebrate almost all day beginning at 12 PM! Here is the schedule for the downtown Spokane fireworks:

12 p.m.: Food trucks and market vendors open

More than 20 vendors will be located across the park all day. Riverfront attractions including the Numerica SkyRide, Skate Ribbon, and the Looff Carrousel will be open.

6 p.m.: Pavilion opens for seating and refreshments

Concessions, beer, and wine will be available. Concertgoers are invited to bring their own food and beverages (no outside alcohol, please). Chairs will be available for seating in front of the stage on a first come, first serve basis. Blankets and low-backed, beach-style chairs are permitted on the lawn.

8:50 p.m.: Fairchild Air Force Base Honor Guard Presentation of Colors and National Anthem

9 p.m.: Spokane Symphony in the Pavilion, with musical director James Lowe

10 p.m.: Fireworks

Fireworks will be set off at the Lilac Bowl and will be viewable from many locations around downtown including the Pavilion.

Make sure to double check before you head out to celebrate – in years past, fireworks events have been canceled due to fire danger. Just Google before you go!

Where can you light off fireworks in Spokane?

Fireworks are illegal in most of Spokane County, and even though Spokane received a lot of rain in 2022, it’s still not a good idea to shoot them off for many reasons, including fire danger!

However, you can still see some incredible fireworks displays around Spokane, including:

  • Fireworks at Riverfront Park
  • 4th of July fireworks at Liberty Lake
  • Fireworks at Avista Stadium after the Spokane Indians game
